Aging Gracefully with Microneedling and Facial Acupuncture

Aging is a natural process. Try as we might, we can’t stop it, but graceful and healthy aging is possible - with the right tools. Facial Acupuncture and Microneedling can alter or delay the signs of aging on the face. The beauty of using Acupuncture as a part of a cosmetic treatment plan is that it treats the body inside and out: eliciting changes on the skin and face, while also strengthening and supporting whole body health through the aging process.

Microneedling

Microneedling stimulates the body to produce more collagen and elastin, resulting in skin that is plumper, firmer, and smoother. It can reduce the appearance of fine lines, deep wrinkles and scars, improve skin tone, lighten areas of hyperpigmentation, and reduce eye bags and puffiness. When used on the scalp, it promotes hair growth by stimulating dormant hair follicles. Specific serums are applied during and after a Microneedling treatment to increase the desired results. I use vegan stem cells, collagen boosting herbs, hyaluronic acid, and specific algae derivatives for lightening hyperpigmentation or reducing eye bags. After a Microneedling session, serum absorption is 3,000% greater than it would be normally.

Facial Acupuncture

Like Microneedling, Facial Acupuncture benefits the skin by stimulating the production of collagen. It also strengthens the integrity of the facial muscles and ligaments, preserves bone density, addresses underlying systemic imbalances, and supports full body health. Facial Acupuncture can soften deep wrinkles, eliminate small fine lines, improve muscle tone, tone skin laxity, heal skin problems, and create lift and a rosey, dewy, moist, luminous look.

Is Microneedling or Facial Acupuncture Better For Me?

Usually, a combination of Microneedling and Facial Acupuncture is recommended. Microneedling is superior when it comes to stimulating collagen production. However, health and beauty are truly more than skin deep. The aging process involves changes in the bone, muscles, ligaments, fat, and deep connective tissue layers of the face. Acupuncture is needed to affect these deeper layers of the face and to support whole body health and vitality.

What kind of results can I expect?

When you sign up for a series of treatments, it’s like taking your face to the gym. You can’t go to the gym once and expect to see results. It’s a commitment to your health internally and externally. Each Acupuncture and Microneedling session builds upon the previous one, just as your workouts would. It takes time but the results are long lasting, and your health is better because of it. A full series of treatments usually includes 10-12 Facial Acupuncture treatments and 8 Microneedling sessions. Everybody is different, but generally, with a full series of treatments, we can take the physical appearance of the face back to what it was 5-10 years prior. After the initial series of treatments, monthly Facial Acupuncture and Microneedling every 3-4 months is needed to maintain the results.
