Drisana Carey – M.S. Dipl. OM. L.Ac.

 

Drisana Carey is a licensed acupuncturist currently practicing in San Diego, California with San Diego Herbal Medicine and Acupuncture in Banker’s Hill and Sundris Health in Solana Beach, CA.  She completed her Master’s degree in 2011 in both Oriental Medicine & Chinese Herbs. Drisana runs a fulltime practice focusing on Sports/Orthopedic medicine, Auricular Acupuncture, Postural Alignment, Meditation and Yoga Therapy.

 

Drisana believes in living in alignment with the medicine she employs, she incorporates multiple disciplines into her holistic approach to practice. 

She empowers her clients with the tools & skills necessary to support their unique health goals.  Drisana employs a systems approach to care in collaboration with western medicine and multiple integrative medical fields. Her professional focus includes nutrition, myofascial release techniques, corrective exercise, relaxation techniques, foundation training, kinesio taping, healing touch and she is constantly expanding her offerings.

 

As an adventurous athlete with a passion for optimization, Drisana enjoys connecting people with the activities and outlets that fuel the soul and inspire progress while honoring balance.

 

Employing 4 pillars of health; quality nutrition, physical activity, deep relaxation and meaningful connection within a supportive community, requires self-motivation and commitment.  Drisana enjoys facilitating the evolution of optimization as it unfolds in her client’s lives.

 

The mountains are wonderful source of refueling energy. Drisana lived in Vail, CO directly after graduating from Syracuse University.  She received her undergraduate degree from S.I. Newhouse School of Communications competing as a Division I Volleyball and Track athlete and later received her Master’s degree from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine studying on both the New York and San Diego campuses.  Her grandfather served as a medical doctor in the US Army,  naturally she has a deep respect for supporting active duty and veterans. She is honored and deeply grateful to be a part of the Vail Veterans Program for the 3rd year.
